Notes

The most important thing of note this month is that we are in the negative this month. That is our expenses were higher than our income. This is due to a higher than usual AWS (media storage, backups, CDN) expense at CA$107.97.

As usual, AWS is our most variable and unpredictable expense. I expect the AWS expense will go back down this month to a lower amount. Since, we are in the negative, I will be withdrawing CA$14.10 from the TFSF account to make up the shortfall. This is the exact kind of situation is why the TFSF was created so I’m glad that it is indeed useful in this way.

Another future thing to note – next month’s report will see a new expense for Postmark for USD$15/month. This is our new transactional email service, that is the service that sends email from the Ten Forward instance. This is part of my plan to slowly move away from AWS services where feasible. In this case, the service we have stopped using is AWS SES (Simple Email Service).

If you would like to contribute to the TFSF and help eliminate income shortfalls in the future, you can do so here. Thank you all for your support.

Until next time comrades. May you all live long and prosper!
